Fareways Cafe
The LOW Arts exhibit at the Fareways Cafe in the Woods Center is awaiting your visit. Stop by and take a look at the artwork created by your LOW neighbors. Most of the artwork is for sale and the price list can be found below. Check the price and contact the artist directly if interested in purchasing. The current exhibit will be available until mid-February with new work going up on February 18th and the Artist's Reception on February 26th from 2-4:30pm. Please stop in for live entertainment, snacks and a chance to chat with our artists.

Elena Pratt was accepted to show her work at the Capital Art and Craft Festival December 9-11, 2022 at the Dulles Expo Center. Great job, Elena!
Kudos to Christy Rappoport whose piece "Medley in Silk" was selected in the juried "Artist Choice" exhibit at the Fredericksburg Center for the Creative Arts. See her piece here!
Lisa Spencer Ballard has been selected by the Friends of Chatham Manor as one of 5 plein air artists to create and donate a painting that will be auctioned at their upcoming fundraiser. Lisa also donated a painting last year, which drew a pretty penny for the fundraiser. Congratulations Lisa!

Hearty congratulations to photographer Karen O'Donnell who received 2 1st Place ribbons and an Honorable Mention in the Annual Fredericksburg Photography Show in May 2022. You can view all the 1st place winners here.
Karen also had two of her abstract photographs juried into the online exhibit of the 12th Annual Joseph Miller Abstract Photography Exhibit. You can view the entire exhibit online here and you can vote for People's Choice award through May. Congratulations AGAIN to Karen!
Our first "Do Art" event was August 31, 2022 using alcohol inks to create three different projects during the course of 2 hours. Some highlight photos are below. Led by Karen Weingartner, with assistance from other LOW Arts artists, this evening event was a sell-out success. Join us next time!

Lake of the Woods is located in Locust Grove, Virginia, halfway between Fredericksburg and Culpeper on Route 3. Our 500 acre lake is the center of this vibrant community of more than 8,000 residents, the largest population center in Orange County.
