BJ will be demonstrating her paper mache process in her lower level studio. Her paintings will be on display on the main level.

 

Studio access:  

Parking in the driveway. Use the turnaround to park. There are just two steps into the house, then 14 steps to go down to her studio. She is just around the corner from the main marina if additional parking is needed.

Three steps to the front door and studio is on the ground level.  Parking is available for 4-5 cars at a time.

Acrylic painting in a "pop art" style on canvas, rocks, and glass. 


Elena is also an art collector and visitors will also have the opportunity to view some of her unique and eclectic holdings.

 Muddy hands, clear mind!

As a child, did you enjoy playing in mud? Here’s an opportunity to experience the sensory and tactile qualities of clay. Try ‘throwing’ or ‘pinching’ a pot in the Freeland’s studio. Watch a live demo and listen to a discussion of the process. Walk through the studio equipped with simple and complex tools as well as glazes and clays. Then browse the gallery filled with their work. Each piece began with a lump of clay.


Studio access: 

 The studio is accessed via a sloping smooth stone walkway from the driveway down the side of the house. About 90 feet. One step in from patio to studio.  Driveway and street parking available. Studio #5 is two houses away.

Toni Ruther

 Studio #5

Art Media on display:
Jewelry made from antique china, stained glass creations.


Visitors will see all equipment that Toni uses to create her jewelry pieces and how she designs and then cuts glass for stained glass pieces. Visitors may try using the tools to cut glass to get a feel for how it's done.


Studio access: 

 Parking is available at both 116 and 112 Washington Street in addition to Toni’s own driveway. Follow the path on the left side of the house down to the studio entrance. No steps. Studio #4 is two houses away.

I have painted all of my life. I work primarily in oils because I am, at heart, a traditionalist.  The impressionists have had a great influence on my work. But I do move into other style influences from time to time. During the studio tour I will have a work in progress and look forward to sharing my work and creative process with visitors.

Susan will be designing and assembling jewelry during the tour and will have a signup sheet for anyone interested in a jewelry-making class.

The art of pouring has been around since the 1930s, but it’s become extremely popular in the last few years because everyone can learn to do it. Let me introduce you to two fun pouring techniques. I will show  you pieces where you can just enjoy the color explosion or use your imagination to find objects or scenes in the art.
I am also offering some beautiful sunrise pictures of Lake of the Woods.

There is ample parking for up to 20 cars around the studio building and just one step into the studio.
