                                                   "The Turquoise Lady"

A multi-talented artist, Susan has been designing jewelry for over 30 years. She primarily focuses on Southwestern and whimsical designs and loves to share experiences and techniques with customers. All of her jewelry pieces are "one-of-a-kind” original designs, from simple and delicate to very unique and intricate. She works with turquoise and other gemstones, unique and antique beads, pewter, bronze and silver. She is normally working on new designs and pieces while she is presenting her work for sale at art shows and at her booths and displays in Virginia and North Carolina. She currently has her jewelry in shops around central Virginia in places like “H.O.M.E”  Boutique in Sperryville VA, “Lilly Rose and Company” Home Goods Gallery in Culpeper VA, at “The Country Gathering” in Orange VA, and in her Gallery and Studio – “Latta’s Lakeside Gallery” in Lake of the Woods, Locust Grove VA.

Susan is also a painter in oils and water colors and she loves to draw. She is inspired by the people and nature that surrounds her. She has managed and displayed in her own successful gallery in Puerto Rico at Plaza Las Americas and at Art Shows all over Puerto Rico (1980’s – 2008). She has sold her work in USAF AAFES Exchange Malls and Art Shows in and around Omaha, Nebraska (2010-2015) and in her own Old Apple Yards Galleries in Buckton, England (2015-2016). She also worked shows during this time at USAF Exchange Malls at RAF Lakenheath and RAF Alconbury while living in England. In 2016 she and her family moved to Loveland Colorado and she displayed her Jewelry in various boutiques, galleries and shows in Loveland, Fort Collins, and Estes Park (2016-2021). Susan and her family moved to Central Virginia  in June 2021 and set up her gallery/studio in Lake of the Woods.
