Eve’s Glass Art evedevito@gmail.com
Eve has spent her life doing various arts and crafts. She discovered warm glass/fused glass in 2000 and took several classes to broaden and build her knowledge. She experimented with stained glass, blowing and torching glass but soon returned to fusing glass in a kiln. Her true passion is experimenting with different techniques and combining them, often building several layers in glass and firing her pieces multiple times to get the desired depth, color and texture each piece demands.
She has introduced many people to the craft and has taught several of them in her home studio to create their own works of art glass. It was an exciting and rewarding endeavor for all parties.
Eve accepts and enjoys custom orders and likes to work with her customers on the overall design. They enjoy learning about the process and techniques while getting a better understanding and appreciation for how their new art piece was actually created.
Her work has been exhibited in juried and local shows and art galleries in Northern Virginia. Her work is photographed by her husband and photographer Marco deVito. Eve has also been a long-time member of the National Capital Art Glass Guild (NCAGG) and a member of the Lake of the Woods (LOW) Arts group in Locust Grove, VA.
